When should pregnant mother be cautious about decreased fetal movement?
A
- If women are unsure about whether movements are reduced after 28+0 weeks of gestation, they should be advised to lie on their left side and focus on fetal movements for 2 hours.
- If they do not feel discrete movemetns in 2 hours –> seek medical attention

What is the Mx for decreased fetal movements?
A
- history taking: gestational age, RF for stillbirth and fetal growth restriction and drug history reviewed. Depressant drugs and narcotics may reduce fetal movements.
- Women withreduced fetal movements after 28+0 weeks of gestation, order CTG immediately and review tracing for FHR. If CTG not availble –> auscultate for FHR.
- If women presents prior to 24+0 with reduced fetal movements –> auscultate with doppler handheld device
