What are “nosodes”?
A
A homeopathically prepared remedy made from an infectious disease product either directly from the bacteria or virus, or less directly from a tissue purported to contain it to prevent disease.

A
- 1997 Study murine model exposed Francisella tularensis –> reduced time to death, modest decreased mortality
- Cohort study Leptospirosis epidemic Cuba –> reduced infection rates?
- Animal studies Plasmodium berghei –> longer survival time
- Cochrane review avian sarcode from healthy duck liver for prevention and treatment of influenza –> low quality evidence support efficacy

“This product has not been proven to prevent infection. Health Canada advises your child receive all routine vaccinations even if they take this product.”
