when the immune system attacks healthy organs and tissues instead of invaders

what happens when there is an allergic reaction?
immune system overreacting to substances that don’t normally cause harm
what are some allergy examples?
foods, pet hair, pollen
what is anaphylaxis?
a life-threatening allergic reaction that causes the immune system to release chemicals that put the body in shock. it can result in trouble breathing and is treated with an epipen
what is cancer?
a disease in which cells multiply uncontrollably, destroying healthy tissue

cancer-causing (cig smoking, UV rays, radiation)
