why can smoking jncrease the risk of heart disease
it raises the blood pressure m, increases cholesterol and leads to thickening of the artery walls
why can smoking increase the risk of lung cancer
the chemicals in the smoke can cause mutations leading to uncontrolled growth of cells
why can smoking increase the risk of emphysema
smoking damages the alveoli causing the surface area to decrease, this causes shortness of breath
why can smoking increase the risk of lung cancer infections
chemicals in the smoke damage the cillia which causes mucus production to increase, causes shortness of breath and increased risk of infection
