Imbalance in neurotransmitters
increase in dopamine and decrease in acetylcholine
HD manifestations
abnormal movements
Intellectual decline
severe mood swings

Sporadic
Familial
ALS - Manifestations
Early
Tripping, dropping, slurred speech, difficulty swallowing, weight loss, SOB, uncontrollable periods of laugh or crying
muscle weakness that causes difficulty breathing, chewing, swallowing and speaking
Parkinson’s Disease
Progressive neurodegenerative disease of CNS
Decrease in dopamine
PD - Triad symptoms
Slowing down
Stooped
Tremors
