1
Q
Afferent pupillary defect (Marcus-Gunn)- Eti
A
- Optic nerve lesion- ipsilateral optic nerve
- Macular lesion
2
Q
Afferent pupillary defect (Marcus-Gunn)- Sx
A
- Consensual light reflex is stronger than direct response of affected eye
- Absolute defect- no pupillary response in affected eye, consensual response present
3
Q
Horner sundrome- Eti
A
- Lesion in sympathetic pathway causing paresis of muller muscle and iris dilator
- Neuroblastoma, trauma, brainstem infarction
4
Q
Horner sundrome- Sx
A
- Ipsilateral ptosis, miosis & anhydrosis
- less pigmented iris
5
Q
Horner sundrome- Dx
A
- Topical cocaine- pupil doesn’t dilate

A
Dx of exclusion
13
Q
Papilledema- Tx
A
- Self limiting, wt loss
- Lower intracranial pressure and manage headaches
