A
> agitation > pupil dilation, excessive lacrimation (tearing) > convulsions, tremor > sweating, goose flesh > nausea, vomiting

Naloxone - Actions
A
An opioid antagonist that prevents and reverses the effects of opioids, used in patients with altered conscious state with respiratory depression secondary to opioid administration.

A
400mcg / 0.4mg in 1ml glass ampoule

A
AD: 1.6-2mg in 4-5ml IM, repeat 0.8mg in 2ml @10/60 once only
PD: 10mcg/kg IM, repeated @10/60 once only

IM effects:
- onset: 1-3 mins
- duration: 30-45 mins
