Contraindications:

  • hypersensitivity
  • late second stage labour
Precautions: (FACE-LMA)
# F: facial trauma, rhinitis, rhinorrhoea
# A: opioid addiction 
# C: COPD / respiratory depression
# E: elderly / frail patients
# L: liver impairment
# M: monoamine oxidase inhibitors (anti-depressants)
# A: current asthma
