A heart attack

How can myocardial infarction happen?
A
When a coronary artery becomes blocked or severely restricted the myocardium becomes ischaemic

What does ischaemic mean?
A
A deficient supply of blood to a body part that is dye to obstruction of the inflow of arterial blood

What does severe ischaemic lead to?
A
Leads to tissue death due to lack of oxygen

A
An area of tissue death due to a local lack of oxygen

Chest pain, nausea, jaw pain, neck pain, syncope, dyspnea (shortness of breath)
