What is extension?
Increasing the angle between bones.
What is hyperextension?
Extension past 180 degrees.
What is abduction?
Movement away from the midline.
What is adduction?
Movement toward the midline.
What is rotation?
Movement around an axis.
What is circumduction?
A combination of movements at a fixed axis.
What is supination?
Rotating the palm or foot upwards.
What is pronation?
Rotating the palm or foot downwards.
What is dorsiflexion?
Flexing the foot towards the shin.
What is plantarflexion?
Flexing the foot downward.
What is inversion?
Turning the sole of the foot inward.
What is eversion?
Turning the sole of the foot outward.
