Granulomatosis with polyangitis (Wegners)
Microscopic polyangitis
Eosinophillic granulomatosis with polyangitis
What are the characteristics of Granulomatosis with Polyangitis (Wegner’s) ?
Necrotising granulomatous inflammation.
Involves upper and lower resp. tract.
Affects small-medium vessels.
Necrotising glomerulonephritis is common.
What are the characteristics of microscopic polyangitis?
Affects mainly small vessels.
Necrotising glomerulonephritis is v. common.
Pulmonary capillaritis often occurs.
Granulomatous inflammation is absent.
What are the characteristics of Eosinophillic with polyangitis ?
Eosinophil rich and necrotising granulomatous inflammation occurs, often involving the resp. tract.
Mainly affects small-medium vessels.
