Classification of SLE
Any 4 of
Malar rash, Discoid rash, Photosensitivity, Oral ulcers, Arthritis (>2), Serositis, Renal, Neurological, ANA, Haematological (low wcc and platelets), Immunological (anti-ds DNA, lupus anticoagulant)
SLE investigations
Increased ESR, CRP same
ANTI dsDNA
Increased RF, IgG/M, CT brain, MRI white matter
Treatment for SLE
NSAIDs, CCS, Isoniazid, methyldopa, hydralazine
What is scleroderma
Heterogenous group linked by presence of thickened sclerotic skin lesions
Onset 30-50 years
F > M 3:1
Types of scleroderma
Limited - can cause pulmonary hypertension
Diffused - can cause pulmonary fibrosis, renal crisis, small bowel bacterial overgrowth
Morphea
Who does Sjogrens Syndrome affect

Onset 40-50 years
Clinical features of Sjogren’s Syndrome
Dry eyes and mouth
Parotid gland enlargement
1/3 have systemic upset
