Q

what is sensory register?

A
  • the place where information is held at each of the senses -very large capacity
  • constantly receiving information but most of this receives no attention

Q

what occurs in attention?

A
  • if the persons attention is focused on one of the sensory stores-»»» then the data is transferred to STM
  • first step in remembering something

Q

what does short term memory include?

A
  • limited duration
  • information will disappear from STM if new information enters STM=pushing out the original information= this is because STM has limited capacity

Q
