what is the interference theory?

forgetting because one memory blocks another causing one or both memories to be distorted or forgotten.

when old info prevents the recall of new info

- pps = memorised 10 or more lists after 24hrs = only remembered 20% of what was learnt HE if they learnt 1 list they remembered 70%
