Window heat test on gnd?
Is not recommended since it bypasses the max temperature limit and may promote delaminating of the windshield
Window heat power test
The power test verifies operation of the window heat system. The test may be accomplished when any of the window heat ON lights are extinguished and the associated WINDOW HEAT switch is ON.

What are the static discharges for?
Are installed for bleed off static build up on the airframe during flight in order to decrease radio receiver interference, specially HF & ADF.

APU start with battery depleted
To start APU with the main battery depleted connect AC external ground power and press GROUND SERVICE switch in the cabin. This provides DC power to the APU starter through Ground Service bus 28v dc
Dispatch with APU inoperative considerations
- takeoff alternate must’ve calculated within 30 or 60 min(dual battery) if both generators fail at takeoff.
- flight must not be ETOPS
- AC external ground power at destination is required for ground operations
- A ground air cart must be available for engine start or consider to keep one engine running during the entire turnover
Engine low oil quantity
You can keep the engine running as long as the engine oil pressure stays in the white range. During descent with thrust in idle, engine oil pressure may even decrease into the amber range.
There is no minimum oil quantity for an engine in
flight start.
What could happen with an early starter cut out?
May cause a HUNG or HOT start
If APU DET INOP light does not illuminate during test but the APU fire switch does illuminate?
You can use APU because fire detection is operational. Do fire test before each use
Things to wait after engine bottle discharge
Wait for 30 sec before discharging the second bottle. Not the amount but the duration that the extinguishing agent is applied IS IMPORTANT IN FIRE FIGHTING.
Make sure the FAULT light does not illuminate, indicating both loops have failed and the fire is still active
Types of smoke
Air conditioning smoke:
Can be identified as white and grey dense smoke entering the cabin or flight deck via air conditioning system via cabin ceiling, air conditioning outlets or individual nozzles.
Electrical smoke:
Can be identified by a typical odor of burned insulation material and bluish color (azulado).
Can be toxic and causes itching to eyes. Can be identified coming from the instrument panel, circuit breakers panel, galley equipment, etc.
