Q

What is the function of a motor neurone

A

It’s function is to carry impulses from the central nervous system to the muscle fibres to initiate muscular contraction.

Q

What is the definition of action potential

A

This is the electrical impulse travelling down the motor unit
If this impulse is strong enough and reaches the threshold, the impulse will travel into the muscle and causes all fibres connected to the motor unit to contract
