Define motor learning
A
a set of processes aimed at leaning and refining new skills by practicing them

What does it mean to have learned?
A
- > learning is a permanent alteration in the functioning of the nervous system that enables performers to achieve a predetermined goal consistency
- > to gain or acquire knowledge of/ or a skill in (something) by study, experience, or being taught

What is retention
A
2 types Performance (short term) - cramming - forget very quickly Learning (long term) - distributed practice may be helpful - practicing a while, take a break for a period, forgets a lil bit but retain most, build off that

Types of feedback
A
Extrinsic Feedback - uses external feedback (not you) like coaches or video and the feedback is received after the movement
Intrinsic feedback - usually sensory information that you receive during and after the motion
