CNS EFFECTS:

• CNS depression
• Respiratory depression
• Depression of cough reflex
• Stimulation ( changes of mood, euphoria or dysphoria, vomiting, pin-point pupils)
• Dependence (Addiction)

CARDIOVASCULAR EFFECTS:

• Vasodilatation
• Decreases conduction velocity through the AV node

Pt >60kg 10mg , Repeat 5mg @ 15/60 once if required
Pt 7 2.5mg IV @5/60 (Max 20mg)
*Note only give after 2XPenthrax and Stemetil & >15min from destination hospital
