Breath is life. The self can energize life via breath.
Breathing into the body awakens the body
Breathing into the chakras energizes the chakras
Breath is about manifestation
Breath Code correlation w Throat Chakra

working the Breath Codes opens and energizes the throat chakra
Also there are a number of yoga poses that are good companion exercises.
example: Cobra pose, Bhujangasana
*ones inner channel still runs from head to soles of feet
**beyond the motion of lifting the upper body from floor IT BEGINS while prone feeling pressed to the earth from tarsal surface up through thighs, belly, chest, palms
**And beyond bending the neck backwards IT IS stretching from the sternum up the neck through the chin
example w breath = contracting MB + inner thighs + shoulder blades + roll eyes up + bring the breath up and out the CC
***Thousand Tiny Straws is a good pairing with Cobra pose
Energizing Chakras

‘Cave of Brahma’
perceive as if …breathing in and out of head
if you feel any movement within or of your skull or the skin covering it–acknowledge the sensation and continue breathing.
There is a grounding breath at the end
1 inhale from in front of your forehead, frontal
to the center of the corpus callosum
fill the space, imaging bathing area in breath, imagine
a vibration
2 exhale through the back of your head-occiput
3 Reverse, inhale from occiput and exhale through frontal
4 Repeat set 6 -9 times
5 Turn to CCB, inhaling from above and exhaling to below
to ground –exchange point is midtorso

Thousand Straws Breath
p220-223
to enliven ones body
energy channels within the body are called nadis, the larger ones are the meridians, including chakras
visualize the body in three sections:
feet to hips (lower)
hips to shoulders, including arms (mid)
top of shoulders to top of head (upper)
flow of breath will be from planar side of feet
to out the top of the head
process is to contract the lower section and inhale into it
as if sipping from 1000 straws
then exhale into the mid section,
while maintaining contraction in the lower section
now add contraction of mid section to contraction of lower
and inhale as if a 1000 straws through both sections
then exhale into the upper section
while maintaining contractions in lower and mid sections
now add contraction of upper section
and inhale as of 1000 straws through all sections
then exhale out the crown
while maintaining contractions
Now relax all muscles
best to repeat 3x
close with CCB in both directions
Fern Frond Breath
p223-226
to integrate energy flowing in the spine
done sitting
[demonstrate fern unfolding with finger….follow knuckle progression making analogies with the spine and head]
Contract MB and Hara pt
envision a ball of light traveling up through CH
on the inhale to Cave of Brahma
and descending on the exhale to the Roor Chakra
Exhale curling into a tightly held frond
Inhale unfurling one vertebrae at a time from sacrum to atlas
Continue rolling head back
so that the nose is tipped towards ceiling
Exhale through the forehead
Maintain same extended position for an inhale
Repeat exhale curling
best to repeat 3x
close with CCB in both directions
Breath Patterns for Healing
p226-228
to address pain felt in the body
to address a mental-emotive experience in order to be on the Frontside
to address where the mind goes after a morning or random scan, void pts or resistance pts…this is “Go to the Body” practice
It is squeezing that place while doing the breathwork
squeezing = acknowledging
Squeeze as if hugging the area so that it is enveloped
Breathe from and through the area into the Heart Ctr
Exhale out up and out from the Heart Ctr
(throat to crown and beyond)
Reverse the breath, maintaining squeeze
Breath from above head into Heart Ctr
Exhale out the affected area
close with CCB
