Our tendency to search for information which confirms our current theory
What is mental set?
The tendency to approach problems using a mind set that has worked previously
What is intuition?
The human cognitive style of making judgements and decisions is more efficient than logical
What is the availability heuristic?
When we estimate the likelihood of an event on how much it stands out in our mind.
What is belief perseverance?
The tendency to hold onto our beliefs when facing contrary evidence
What is framing?
The focus that affects our judgements and decisions
What is incubation?
The power of taking a break from careful thinking
