What is mission command?
An approach to command and control that empowers subordinates and decentralizes decision making to enable Unified Land Operations.
-the exercise of authority and direction by a commander using mission orders (not necessarily command and control) to enable initiative within the commanders intent and empower leaders in conducting Unified Land Operations

- Directives that enable understanding and define the end state to be obtained, not how it is to be achieved
