= Venus and Serena Williams grew up in comton playing on public courts
- NOW 2 of the most famous tennis player
(faced all barriers but now role models and breaking down these barriers)

The role of media

A

+ Bring overage to minority sport (paralympics, challenging stereotype )
+ Highlight good role models = serena and venus
+ Report truth = drug testing
- Reinforce negative stereotype ( sexploitation)
- Only focus on major sport = lack of role models e.g women disability
- Highlight bad behaviour = negative role models, decrease participation
