Red man syndrome: flushing, hypotension, tachycardia, rash on upper body
Nausea,rash, fever, chills

Patient family teaching-
Immediately report allergic reaction
Promptly report ringing in ears or difficulty hearing
Report signs of secondary infections
Complete full course of treatment
Immediately report known or suspected pregnancy
Do not breast-feed
Maintain adequate fluid intake- 2 to 3 L per day
