Eye Drop Administration
- Wash hands with soap and water
- Gather supplies (cotton balls, tissue, meds, etc.)
- Expose lower eye lid and approach eye with med. , outside students field of vision
- Drop med. into lower lid without touching anything
- Ask student to test with eyes closed for a few minutes
- Blot excess meds. with tissue or cotton ball
- Wash hands

When do standing orders end for the day?
Last hour of the day, because we can’t monitor any potential reactions when they leave the school.
WHEN DO YOU FILL OUT A STUDENT INJURY REPORT?
When a student is injured and needs help from a nurse for an injury or needs to go to instacare (ie. Broken arm, etc.). If a student missed a half a day or more for an injury that occurred at school.
