Precautions
A
Provide continuous monitoring of respiratory and cardiac function at hand.
Have resuscitation equipment and antidote at hand.

Actions
A
A benzodiazepine that enhances the actions of GABA (gamma amino butyric acid) one of the major inhibitory neurotransmitters of the brain.
Produces anxiolytic, hypnotic, anticonvulsant, muscle relaxant, and amnesiac effects.
