A
Calium channel blocker induced shock. Beta blocker overdose sometimes maybe. Hypocalemia or hyperphosphatemia. Magnesium Sulfate overdose. Hyperkalemia in dialysis pts.

A
Metallic taste Flushing Pain at site Diaphoresis Hypotension May precipitate Dig toxicity Cardiac arrhythmias Ventricular standstill in beating heart Hypercalcemia causes: weakness, confusion unresponsiveness, and more

Precautions
A
Monitor ekg and vs.
Do not mix with bicarb in the line because precipitation may occur.
Note: hypocalcemia is associated with carpal pedal spasms, tetany, trouseas sign and chovsteks sign.
