Metallic taste
Flushing

Diaphoresis
Hypotension
May precipitate Dig toxicity
Cardiac arrhythmias
Ventricular standstill in beating heart
Hypercalcemia causes: weakness, confusion unresponsiveness, and more

Precautions

A

Monitor ekg and vs.
Do not mix with bicarb in the line because precipitation may occur.
Note: hypocalcemia is associated with carpal pedal spasms, tetany, trouseas sign and chovsteks sign.
