Safety
A
Spray your bench with disinfectant and wipe with paper towels in only one direction
Use a heatproof mat
Wear goggles
Wash your hands

Set up
A
Flame the bacterial culture under a Bunsen burner on a blue flame
Add 1ml of the culture to the agar plate using a pipette
Dip the glass spreader into the ethanol and pass it through the flame
Spread around the agar

Adding bacteria
A
Add 3 different filter paper discs to three different antiseptics
Place them into each third of the agar remembering to label them
Secure the lip with two pieces of clear tape
Incubate at 25oC for 48 hours
Measure the diameter of the inhibition zone
