Hollow Sprints
This technique involves completing a series of sprints separated by a ‘hollow’ period of jogging or walking
Suitable for games players as it replicates the changes in pace that are needed throughout the game.
Acceleration sprints
the pace is gradually increased from a standing or rolling start to jogging, then to striding and then a maximum sprint.
Rest intervals of jogging or walking are used in between each repetition.

Periods of work followed by periods of rest
often used by sprinters, other athletics events such as long jump and games players.
