A

What are the characteristics of visual guidance?

A

Demonstration, video, etc
Effective for cognitive performers and should be readily used at this stage of learning.
Performers should be given time to repeatedly practise and mentally rehearse following the demonstration.
Performer should focus on the key aspects of the skill; coach should highlight them.
Coach can change or modify the display.

A

Coach instructs, explains and directs performer to the key points of the skill by telling them what to do and how to do it.
Useful for more advanced performers
Used to give tactical,strategic or technical information.
Information must be kept brief and meaningful.
