A

Female condoms are lubricated pouches with flexible rings at each end. Its inserted into the vagine before sexual intercourse using the index finger. Just like the male condom it catches the sperm preventing it from entering the body.

A

It is usually a T or coil shaped plastic or metal device that is inserted into the uterus. It preents implantation from happening.

How is the Diaphragm used?

A

The diaphragm is a female contraceptive. It is used to prevent sperm from entering the uterus. It is a domed shape peice of rubber with metal surrounding the edges and it is placed into the female vagine before sexual intercourse covering the cervix. It should not be taken out until 8 hours after to ensure that no sperm survived. It should be smeared with spermicide.

A

They are taken by the woman. The pillls consists of the hormones progesterone and oestrogen which stops eggs from being produced in the ovaries. It stops ovulation.
