What is movement?
A change is position of a whole organism or part of an organism.
What is Respiration?
The process by which energy is released from food by all living things
What is Irritability/Sensitivity?
The ability for organisms to detect and react to things in the environment or within themselves.
What is nutrition?
The process by which living organisms obtain or make food.
How do plants make their own food and what are they called?
They make their food during photosynthesis and are called autotrophs.
How do animals get their food?
They get their food by eating plants or eating other animals and are called heterotrophs
What is Growth/ Development?
A permanent increase in size, mass and numbers
What is excretion? Give examples
The way in which organisms get rid of metabolic waste from their body. For example carbon dioxide, urea, harmful substances
What is reproduction?
The production of new organisms/individuals.
What are the two type of Reproduction?
Sexual- Requires 2 parents
Asexual- Requires 1 parent
