Odd time signatures

A

Structures for organizing musical rhythms in a song, in which each measure of music has a number of beats that cannot be divided into equal parts. 5/4, which has five quarter notes per measure, is an example of an odd time signature, while 4/4, which can be divided into equal parts, is not an odd time signature. (Example: ‘Schism’ - Tool, uses odd time signatures).
