4 levels of anxiety
mild, moderate, severe, panic
Mild anxiety
normal experience off everyday living
(nail biting, biting lip, hand clicking)
Moderate anxiety
inability to think clearly, ( unable to concentration difficulties, vital signs may increase, pacing, voice shakiness)
Severe anxiety
Functioning is effective cannot learn or problem solve, not likely to take direction
( hyperventilation, tachycardia, withdrawals, raid speech)
Panic anxiety
Markedly disturbed behavior, life threating situation
( loss touch of reality)
Dissociation
Lack of connection between the person identity, memory, or how they perceive the environment
Rationalization
creating reasonable and acceptable explanation for unacceptable behavior
Undoing
performing an act to make up for prior behavior
