How to take a intramuscular injection
Check for contraindications Gather équipement PPE Check the medication to be administered (Type/strength/expiry) Draw up the medication using a drawing up needle Attach the injection needle to the syringe Clean the injection site Apply traction bellow the site Insert needle at 90 degrees Remove the needle Apply pressure to the site

Remove any air bubbles before administrating
Pinch the patients skin between your thumb and index finger
Pierce the skin at 45-90 degrees
Inject the contents
