A

Argue that there has been significant changes in media representations in a good way, with stereotypes and and attitudes towards women changing but there is still work to do

Equality is brought around in accord with women’s achievements, there may be a cultural lag as attitudes change more slowly

A

Believe that there has been little change in gender representations and traditional stereotypes remain widespread- still predominantly shown as sex objects and media is controlled by men- malestream, a revolution is needed

A

Women are oppressed by capitalist society and exploited similar to the working class e.g unpaid labour, economic inequality- media representations are product of patriarchy and capitalism and male media owners/ professionals present them in stereotypical ways for ideological/ economic benefits
