What is the core of the radio system for MOCO fire departments?
Texas Wide Area Radio Network (Tx Warn). A Motorola ASTRO 25 digital radio system. Connected to the MCHD/City of Conroe L3Harris P25 system via an inter RF Subsystem Interface.
Supported by a separate VHF six-site simulcast system and 5 regional VHF Repeater sites.

Second Tone policy
If units have not responded within 2 minutes of the original tone, the unit shall be retoned. If after 1 minute the units have not responded the dispatcher shall make an attempt to contact the station. For still alarms the next closest resource should be added to the call.

Second tone for medical calls
If after 2 minutes fire-com shall re-encode the unit. If the unit does not respond other means may be taken to alert that department such as toning the next closest unit or the BC. Should be coordinated with Alarm.

— An additional alarm will be added to the call.
— An additional email/sms page will go to the county fire Marshall office advising of a working fire.
— Law Enforcement Notified for traffic control
