Maths/Graphs/Data Flashcards
What is a correlation coefficient?
A numerical value between -1 and +1 for how strong the correlation is.
The closer to -1 or +1 the stronger the correlation, 0 = no correlation
What can the correlation coefficient tell you about the relationship between two variables?
How closely related they are. For example if value close to -1 or +1 then variable = very closely related. This will also be shown by points being very close to the line of best fit.
What is the standard form of micro? and what does the symbol look like?
µm = 10^-6
What is standard form of nanometres and what is the symbol?
nm and 10^-9
Give the equation used to calculate stock or dilution solution concentrations/volumes
V1 = C2 * V2 / C1 1= stock solution 2 = diluted solution
