stroke play - must be on scorecard and is deducted from final score

match play - opponent can cancel the shot if they choose
Helping ball on green
stroke - leaving ball in place results in a 2 stroke penalty for everyone who agreed

Can you hole out after your putt is conceded
Yes you can, but not in team events such as four ball. That would be seen as giving your partner an advantage
