-if a ball in a penalty area is not found, progression is not broken and penalty area relief restores it

  • You may move, bend, break grass, bushes, branches
  • you may move sand/water without penalty
  • there is no penalty for improving area
  • there is no penalty is ball is moved when looking (replace it)

A

when the entire ball is outside boundary edge of course (part of ball means it is in play)
-players may stand OB to play shot

A

another ball is played to save time

  • if you find original ball you must play it
  • if you don’t find it you play provisional under stroke and distance
  • must say provisional before playing and if you dont then that ball is automatically in play
