A
- Areas intended to test the ability to play from the sand
- Specially prepared areas if sand
- Anything resembling sand

A
Bunker lip Soil Growing/attached natural material Sand outside bunkers Naturally sandy areas

When is your ball in the bunkers
A
The ball is in the bunker when any part of the ball is touching the sand or touching where sand would normally be

What Can’t you do in a bunker
A
-Can’t test condition of sand to gain information for next stroke
-Can’t touch sand with club right behind or in front of ball
-Can’t touch sand during a practice swing
Can’t touch sand on a backswing

What you can do in a bunker
A
- Digging feet in for a practice swing
- Smoothing bunker to care for course (can’t create improvement)
- Placing clubs, equipment, other object in bunker
- lean on club to rest, stay balanced, prevent fall
- strike sand in frustration
- after playing shot and ball is outside bunker

Can you remove loose impediments
A
Yes. You may remove loose impediments/movable obstructions if it’s done reasonably and without touching sand
