2) Advertising is the practice and techniques used to bring attention to a product or service. Advertising aims to put a product or service in the spotlight in hopes of drawing it attention from consumers to increase sales.

1) Examples of marketing/ advertising include:
- Leaflets
- Magazines/ newspapers
- Billboards
- Posters
- TV/ radio
- Social media
- Sponsorship
2) Advantages:
- Digital advertising can be changes or updated easily (Digital billboards, social media)
- Can target specific customers – magazines
Disadvantages:
- Paper based advertising can become outdated quickly (billboards, leaflets. Flyers, brochures)
- High printing costs (billboards, leaflets. Flyers, brochures)
- Low customer exposure to the advertising (Billboards – need to drive past them)
- Not always accessible for some people (Social media)
