* Androgen derived from testosterone stimulus
* Periurethral zone affected
* Hesitancy, urgency, nocturia, poor stream

Prostate Cancer
- Most common visceral cancer in men
- 2nd most common cause of male cancer deaths
- Peak incidence 65 - 75 years
- Latent cancer in >50% after age 80
- Outer peripheral gland affected
- Prostatic intraepithelial neoplasia (PIN) precursor

– Seminoma, 50%
– Embryonal ca
– Yolk sac tumors
– Choriocarcinomas
– Teratomas
– Mixed germ cell tumors
HCG, AFP, both
20-34 years of age
Seminoma replacing testicle
Seminoma – large malignant cells and small lymphocytes
