One who hates mankind. His choice to live as a hermit was due to being a misanthrope.
Mitigate
Lessen in intensity; moderate; appease. There are mitigating circumstances behind the murder.
Mollify
Soothe. Customer service had to mollify the passengers by upgrading them to first class.
Morose
Ill-humored; sullen; melancholy. Bill acted morose for months due to his retrenchment.
Mundane
Of this earth rather than heavenly; everyday. Uninterested in spiritual discussions, Tony only spoke of mundane matters such as the weather or basketball results.
