Sparing in eating and drinking;temperate. Concerned whether her vegetarian son’s Abstemious diet was sufficient, the worried mother pressed food on him.
Admonish
Warn; reprove. When Mary’s friends questioned her religious beliefs, Mary admonished them, declaring she would worship as she pleased.
Adulterate
Make impure by adding inferior or tainted substances. It’s a crime to adulterate food without informing the consumer.
