Viral or bacterial?
A
Mainly viral
If bacterial causes a disturbed mucosary clearance - 1st winter child gets it bad, 2nd a bit better and so on

What is persistent bacterial bronchitis? Treatment?
A
Wet cough for more than 1 month that recurs after antibiotic treatment
Do not treat again, will go away on its own

What does bronchitis cause?
A
Inflammation of trachea and airways

Is it common? Who is it more prevalent in?
A
Yes
In children

Symptoms? Signs? What will NOT be present?
A
Loose rattly cough
Post-cough vomit known as glut
Often also has a URTI
Chest will NOT have wheeze or crepitations

A
None - self limiting
