Indications
A
- Seizures
- Sedation
- Agitation/excited delirium
- Uncontrolled shivering in hyperthermia

Absolute Contraindications
A
- Neurologic or respiratory depression
- Acute angle glaucoma
- Lorazepam allergy

Precautions & Side Effects
A
- Respiratory depression and/or hypotension can occur, the patient should be monitored closely
- Most likely to produce respiratory depression in patients who have taken other depressant drugs, especially alcohol and barbiturates, or when given rapidly
- Elderly patients may have more profound respiratory and/or CNS depression, half dose should be adminsitered

- IV/IO
- Onset: 1-2min
- Peak: <15min
- Duration: 6-8hrs
- IM
- Onset: 15-30min
- Peak: 2-3hrs
- Duration: 6-8hrs

Dosage
A
- Seizures dosage
- 0.1mg/kg
- Max dose of 4mg
- Administer slowly over 2 min
