- ‘Knowing how-to’ memory: carrying out learnt tasks automatically

- LTM store for SPECIFIC FACTUAL information and events with personal significance (Names, dates, words)
- Information is consciously recalled and expressed (DECLARED) Often recall holistically
- More complex than implicit memories
