Cystic notch- gallbadder

Faclciform ligament- anteriosuperiorly

Fissure for ligamentum venosum- posteriorly
Boundaries of Caudate lobe
Right- groove for inf vena cava
left- fissure for ligamentum venosum
inferiorly- porta hepatis
Boundaries of Quadrate lobe
RIight-gall bladder
left ligamentum teres
Poateriorly- porta hepatis
Porta hepatis
5cm logn, transverse deep fissure on inferior surface of right lobe
Contents : VAD
Portal vein , hepatic artery > enter
right and left hepatic ducts> exit
Areas not covered by peritoneum
Bare area (post surface of right lobe) Groove for inf vena cava fossa for galbladder area for attatchement of lesser omentum right lateral area for attacthment of ribs and lungs
Realtions of Liver
Anteriorly- Xiphoid process, diaphram, falciform lig.
Posteriorly-Bare area (diaphram), inf vena cava, hepatic vessels
Superiorly-Diaphram
Inferiorly-lesser omentum, ligamentum teres, gall bladder
Blood supply
30%-Hepatic artery
70% portal vein
Nerve supply
Hepatic plexus (right phrenic + left vagus)
Functional lobes
Divided by cantiles line
Coinauds Segments
8 segments with own supple and drainage
