16
Q

EGT limits

A

TRT or 870-905C - 5 mins
906-930C - retard to control temp until next landing
>930C - precautionary shutdown

17
Q

Engine over temp or speed

A

Airborne, Allowed to operate engine normally until next landing provided parameters are brought within limits. If maximum is exceeded, precautionary shutdown.

EGT 906-930C (retard)
N1 102.1- 105%
N2 105.1 - 106%

18
Q

Use of TRT wrt EGT limitations

A

5 min limit is both Thrust rating and EGT.
ie. If below 905C but operating at TRT, still limited to 5 mins!
TRT is only for take off, once airborne, MCT is the guide (no specified limit) and EGT/N1/N2 become controlling limits

19
Q

Rudder pressure after flaps are retracted

A

Low range: 2100-2400 psi
Flap actuated switch, Flaps < 5 down
High range: 2800-3050 psi
If stuck in high, speed below 230 KIAS check flap travel, CBs.

20
Q

Gear extension/retraction

Max IAS/Mach with gear extended

A

270 KIAS / M0.78 above 30,000ft

UK RTS 300kts below 30,500ft
M0.78 above 30,500ft

(320 KIAS / M0.85)
