AP test
- AP power on 1 min
- Turn knob detent
- Engage roll and pitch
- Turn knob left right - ctrl moves
- Pitch knob up down
- Pilot disengage: red AP «AP AP»
- Engage
- Any trim switch - cuts out + warn
- Engage - copilot yoke in/out - cuts out + warn
- Center controls, ROLL PITCH
- Self test - up down left right trim up trim down panel lights itch and roll off
- Valid / inval 20s, press
- Test controls full and free
Radio checks
FD1 GND 2 long range clearance on request , then to ATIS
FD2 ATIS then GND 2 - request start Own discretion
FD 4 - FMS unilink - voice - test then back to data
FD 7 - nav cxd? Listen in. 311 Raymond
ADF
VOR (MMR)
TACAN - tune and check Green
ALT setting report to P and N
TACAN test
Failed indications?
Tune, ident, adjust volume
Check 1 and 2 point similar and pfd mfd agree
Set CDI 180
Press test: miles not displayed,
no pointers for 7 seconds
Range 0.0 +- 0.1
Bearing 180+- 3
CDI within 1/2 fsd
Test light overhead goes out.
If test light remains on after 20 secs there’s an error. Try REC only (DME inoperative)

EFAS test
1) interior inspection self test
2) Starting engines and before taxi
1) flick to test, then to on within 3 seconds. Engage system / EFAS failed and ASM THRUST lights on then out within 60 seconds and switch remains ON
2) “ready EFAS check”
flaps to TO config
+10% N1 approx 31%
correct rudder command bar and observed movement (push up 1, left) then recentres correctly
No rudder pedal movement!
SYD self test
Rudder power on
Flaps extended greater than 5 degrees
Test on (within 3 sec)
SYD FAIL light on then out within 35sec
Switch remains ON
